This pendant is based on a genuine gilded bronze artefact of possibly Anglo Saxon or Pictish origin (my guess based on the key pattern which is very prevalent on Pictish stone carvings).
I own the artefact in question having bought it from a metal detector and used the original artefact as a close reference to reconstruct it from wax which I then sandcast and solder on the loop fittings.
This pendant has been sand cast in recycled sterling silver from a hand sculpted model and heavily worked by hand. This is not a mass produced product and lot of love has went into this individual piece which will be made to order for you.
Due to hallmarking laws in the UK this piece will require hallmarking which we always do at Edinburgh assay office. This takes time and there is a minimum order charge from the assay office so we usually send these in batches once every week or fortnight, hence why we have a long wait time. If the order is urgent please let us know and we will see what we can do to get it to you quicker.
Available with a choice of waxed cotton cord or leather cord. If you want this in other materials just ask! We are always open to alter and change any of our pieces.
All our packaging is 100% paper. No plastic at all.
Chain is a 2.3mm trace chain that is 20" long
