This handmade sterling silver pendant is based on the Pictish crescent amulet found in the Gaulcross hoard in Northern Aberdeenshire.
Please note, you are buying a handmade piece of jewellery and we will not always have it in stock and I may require some time to make it!
If you want this in other materials such as gold please email me for a quote at caledonianforge@gmail.com We are always open to alter and change any of our pieces to suit your tastes. In the listing the piece might look darker than the finished piece. We artificially darken our silver pieces with liver of sulfur so that the details will show up in photographs but as standard the finished piece will be shiny and polished. If you'd prefer us to darken it then please let us know and we will happily do this for you.
This has been carved by myself from silver and then cast in high quality by Jewellery Casting Scotland and finished with a mixture of power tools and traditional hand tools like files and saws. Due to the nature of this piece, it does not come supplied with any chain or cord but if you'd like me to try anything to suspend it please email me to discuss.
All our packaging is 100% paper. No plastic at all.
If you are buying this from the UK, by law due to the weight it must be hallmarked. If you are buying internationally we will not hallmark as standard, but if you do desire hallmarking then please ask us, otherwise it will be sent unhallmarked. This service will take up to an additional two weeks. - Furthermore, sometimes we will have this piece already hallmarked if it is already made, so if you do not wish this to be hallmarked, please let us know
