Pictish pendant in silver set with a garnet cabochon. This is based on the remains of a casting mould found during excavations at the royal Pictish fort of Dundurn, Perthshire. The casting mould was likely a clothes pin (which we also have available here) but I thought the shape and size would also make a very good pendant or ring (which we also sell). I have used the example of the ring found during excavations at Burghead to suppose the central boss would have made a setting for an oval shaped garnet cabochon.
Stamped with my makers mark and recycled 925 silver, made to order.
