Part of our upcoming "Ancient Rings of Scotland" collection. We do currently have one silver ring (pictured) in stock, but the rest will be ready by mid May 2024.
Roman ring in silver or bronze. This is based on one of the silver Roman rings found at Culbin Sands, Moray. The original has a carnelian intaglio but this reproduction has a glass pegasus intaglio instead. If you would like me to source a replica of the proper intaglio I might know some people who could make them so get in touch and I will try to get you a quote.
UK size S. Hand carved from wax and cast using the lost wax method. If a different size is wanted then please message us to discuss but due to the chunky nature of the ring alteration might be difficult.
Please note that bronze due to its nature will tarnish to a dull yellow/brown and turn your fingers green round about where the ring is worn. This can be avoided by coating it in wax and regular cleaning and polishing, and bronze rings shouldn't be worn as much as gold or silver.
If you'd like this ring in gold please message us, we'd be happy to work out a price.
Due to the weight of this piece in any solid (not plated) precious metal by law it must be hallmarked. This will take roughly an additional 2-4 weeks. we normally use large hallmarks that stand out, always on the reverse of one sided pendants, the side of double sided pendants or the inside of rings or bracelets. If you would like them to be more subtle please let us know
