Based on an enamelled bronze artefact from the British museum. It appears to be a mount for a "hanging bowl" which has been salvaged, pierced with a hole and worn as a pendant at some point in its history. 6-7th century
Due to hallmarking laws in the UK this piece will require hallmarking which we always do at Edinburgh assay office. This takes time and there is a minimum order charge from the assay office so we usually send these in batches once every week or fortnight, hence why we have a long wait time.
