Based on the intricate 7th-8th century brooch found Loch Glashan, Argyle, in Western Scotland, now housed in Kelvingrove museum. (see the last images for our photos of the original)
Hand carved to a close study of all available information of the brooch and then wax cast in high quality with the amber hand set and the brooch hand finished.
Silver is hallmarked at Edinburgh Assay office.
Gold plating is available but can take a minimum of two to 4 weeks additional time.
Due to the weight of this piece in any solid (not plated) precious metal by law it must be hallmarked. This will take roughly an additional 2-4 weeks. we normally use large hallmarks that stand out, always on the reverse of one sided pendants, the side of double sided pendants or the inside of rings or bracelets. If you would like them to be more subtle please let us know
