The Morrígan is the goddess associated with war and fate, predicting doom, death or victory in battle. In this role she often appears as a crow. She incites battle and will choose who will be victorious. The Morrígan encourages warriors to become heroes, strikes fear into their enemies, and is portrayed washing the blood from clothes of the warriors fated to die. She is most frequently seen as a goddess of battle and war and also represents the goddess's role as guardian of the land and its people.
