"Datable finds, among them a glass ornament and a silver strap fastener, were few, but they point to an Early Historic - probably 7th century - Pictish occupation. Carbon-14 dates are awaited." - Canmore
This "Buckle" has been carefully sculpted from the measurements taken of this object that was among the Dundurn Hillfort finds and then hand cast in my home workshop in the Scottish lowlands. Its exact fastening method is unclear but I use it as a belt buckle. I will include brass rivets with each piece sold but the leather belt for now will not be included.
