Please note, this is twice the size of the original artefact because I am a donut and can't read properly. Therefore I'm selling the last few remaining buckles for half of the original price. In stock and ready to ship within 5 working days.
This "Buckle" has been carefully sculpted from the measurements taken of this object that was among the Dundurn Hillfort finds and then cast in high quality by jewellery casting Scotland. Its exact fastening method is unclear but I use it as a strap end or a hanger for a knife sheaf. I will include copper rivets with each piece sold but the leather belt for now will not be included.
If you want this in other materials such as gold please email me for a quote at caledonianforge@gmail.com We are always open to alter and change any of our pieces to suit your tastes. In the listing the piece might look darker than the finished piece. We artificially darken our silver pieces with liver of sulfur so that the details will show up in photographs but as standard the finished piece will be shiny and polished. If you'd prefer us to darken it then please let us know and we will happily do this for you.
This has been carved by myself from wax and finished with a mixture of power tools and traditional hand tools like files and saws.
All our packaging is 100% paper. No plastic at all.
