These cast earrings are based on the Pictish crescent amulet found in the Gaulcross hoard in Northern Aberdeenshire. Sandcast and cleaned by hand to a high polish. The fittings will be silver on both options, with only the cast crescent being different material.

If you want this in other materials such as gold check our website or ask for a quote! We are always open to alter and change any of our pieces to suit your tastes. In the listing the piece might look darker than the finished piece. We artificially darken our silver pieces with liver of sulfur so that the details will show up in photographs but as standard the finished piece will be shiny and polished. If you'd prefer us to darken it then please let us know and we will happily do this for you.

This has been carved by myself from wax and then cast in high quality by Jewellery Casting Scotland and finished with a mixture of power tools and traditional hand tools like files and saws.

If you are buying this from the UK, by law due to the weight it must be hallmarked. If you are buying internationally we will not hallmark as standard, but if you do desire hallmarking then please ask us, otherwise it will be sent unhallmarked.
This service will take up to an additional two weeks.
