Based on the helmet which was found in the boat burial of Sutton Hoo, allegedly which belonged to king Raedwald of East Anglia.
This iconic helmet was hand carved and cut from an antique spoon, and then all details were engraved by hand with minimal use of power tools. This master copy was then cast in various materials by Jewellery casting Scotland and hand finished by myself.
Please note, you are buying a handmade piece of jewellery and we will not always have it in stock and I may require some time to make it! We currently have 6 silver pendants in stock.
If you want this in other materials such as gold please email me for a quote at firstname.lastname@example.org We are always open to alter and change any of our pieces to suit your tastes. In the listing the piece might look darker than the finished piece. We artificially darken our silver pieces with liver of sulphur so that the details will show up in photographs but as standard the finished piece will be shiny and polished. If you'd prefer us to darken it then please let us know and we will happily do this for you.
This has been carved by myself from a silver spoon and then cast in high quality by Jewellery Casting Scotland and finished with a mixture of power tools and traditional hand tools like files and saws. Available with a free choice of waxed cotton or leather cord. We also have a seperate listing with silver chains here if you desire.
All our packaging is 100% paper. No plastic at all.
I will not hallmark the silver version in general and instead just stamp the reverse with my makers mark and .925 as it is below the legal requirement weight, but if you do desire full hallmarking from Edinburgh Assay office then please purchase the service HERE This service will take up to an additional two weeks. - Gold will be hallmarked as standard. sometimes we will already have a piece in stock and hallmarked, if you don't want this please let us know
